Which mesh gives the closest resistance prediction for the studied SUBOFF hull? We ran six conditions at three mesh resolutions and compared all 18 CFD results with a published secondary table of experimental values.
The medium mesh has the lowest mean absolute error in this comparison: 1.72%, with a maximum of 3.90%. A finer mesh alone did not improve agreement.
